Fly

She was a bird

She was born without wings

She tried to fly, but she couldn't

She willed herself to grow wings but she couldn't

She tried to flap the non-existent wings but she couldn't

She stayed in her nest

Observing each day as it passed

Observing her reality

Observing that she doesn't have wings

She kept observing

Stopped trying to fly

Stopped worrying about not having wings

One day she observed that she had grown wings

She did not try to fly, she just flew away.
