Dear Solitude, I Love You
Dear Solitude, I Love You
Is it loneliness
Or bliss?
To connect within,
Thriving through the mess.
Winds of peace
Carried my soul,
To the green land
Extending their invisible hand,
To let go the cloak of mettle.
There I stand pure,
My burden to prove cease.
When all at once
I could hear,
Chirping of birds,
Dropping of pins,
A fearless heart,
Saying don't I care,
Being or not a dunce.
Content, I lay,
Smiling all the way,
Thanking for my role,
In the Creator's play.
Never had I known
I could glide,
Only aware I was,
Of a free-fall slide.
Letting go was a distant dream,
Solitude taught me
To hear my own scream.
Letting my mind
Drift to what they say,
There's sure a hell on the way.
Letting others scribble my dream,
Is a pointless meme,
Unless I can live it
Sealed and blind.
