Dear Future Self
Dear Future Self
Even my dreams wonder,
What kind of adventures you venture?
Are you still in solitude or have you found your soulmate?
Are you finally not a runner?
Or are you still daydreaming interim your lectures?
Or are you still on vacation, lousing during the whole May?
I realized that all these rhetorical questions do no good,
If my intentions and ambitions remain misunderstood.
But what can I do when knowledge lies at the end of a road
Christened life accompanied with bumps shadowed.
After all I am just an adolescent with zero knowledge
Of experiences that life stores in a sturdy cottage.
I took the initiative asked life- How to open the fragile door?
She replied that the door will not weaken before
the time clashes and bangs on it with a force no one can withhold,
When the cottage's treasure flow out and the letters unfold.
Letter which recited the tales of day and night,
Letter which blinded and tricked you not to reach the light.
I am shuddering thinking about the horrible untold secrets,
Secrets that prove to be your greatest weakness,
But then life cheered up and she said
That the time grows stronger at a slow rate.
Enjoy you life while you can
Because time will force you to be a man.
