Dawn of Love

Puppy love is what everyone calls it because I am only a teen

Puppy love is what they only think I mean

There is no limit to that feeling

There is only care and healing

Why do we need love you might ask

This is a question people will say until they have emptied their flask

Love isn’t just a chemical reaction

Love is not only sexual attraction

People think this is just a phase

Some sort of love craze

What love do you mean then

Well I mean the kind that isn't broken

The kind that never goes dry

The kind that doesn’t make you weep and cry

But the kind that will last lifetimes

A love that isn’t sour like a lime

I want a lifetime of love

Not the puppy stuff
