Dark Fantasy

Solitary in the dark 

Amidst the nerve wrecking memories 

Dwells a castle of nightmare 

And hallucinations of ghostly cries 

I stare at the source 

Casting curious eyes at the stair 

Ruthlessly breaking the silence 

Pierces the rocking sound of chair 

The shadow casts long 

With a human figure out 

Voice of mine is almost drown 

Though I try to shout 

The steady movements and tickling clock 

Passes shivers down my spine 

In despair trying to hold a glimpse of something 

Abruptly the clock hits nine 

The devil casts a wicked smile 

Holding me in the mid-air 

Shivering and calling out heavens 

I stupidly hope for fair 

Awoke instantly by the alarm 

I look around in reality 

Relieved to find it a nightmare 

Thanking the Almighty heartily
