Curtain
Curtain
The most visible
And unavoidable
In our lives is the humble curtain.
When the curtain rises,
Artists start their show
And when it falls,
They take a bow.
Every beginning and every end has a curtain,
People's lives and privacy depend on a simple curtain.
They may be just a piece of cloth,
Plain, simple, or even gloss.
Whether a bland or a designer one,
Their purpose is to shield from shame,
Or bestow upon others' some fame.
When I move my curtain,
The world outside looks vibrant.
When the outside looks gloomy,
I put on my curtain n escape into my privacy.
Autocratic rulers have hidden behind an Iron Curtain,
And so have many commoners for certain.
Oh! The humble curtains,
As important in life as buttons.
Yet no one acknowledges your importance.
