Curtain Raiser
Curtain Raiser
You bear the pain,
How long you strive for gain.
and when you achieve its time to try again.
On a constant path you have to be ahead,
Believe in what is being told and hear the unsaid.
There will be joy and there will be sorrow,
And somewhere within you, you will find a little sparrow,
Waiting to spread its wing
Looking at the sky and rising to swing,
Into that limitless space
Cherishing the view of some mystic blaze
Little away from this maddening chase
You will find your own place.
And then you take that leap
Glide into the unknown for that complete sweep
With your closed eyes, you will find a hand to hold
And your journey begins as you mould.
Be your own wayfarer
And let your life be the curtain raiser
For that many new torchbearers.
