Cracked Wings
Cracked Wings
I yearn to glide
Into the deep blue sky
But this cracked wings
Paralyze me.
I yearn to playBut here I dwell
Wheelchair-bound
Still on the floor.
Peep in my eyes,
These grey-blue skies,
You are soon to behold
These repaired cracked wings.
My body has limitations
But my soul meanders round
The sky of my mind
Where you will find.
Imagination overflows
My soul wanders round
No strings for me
For here I’m free.
Though I’m overlooked
And my wings are all crooked,
There’s more to me,
I have a soul with wings.
