Contradiction
Contradiction
They say God is one
Which one, is the fight all about.
They say God is within us
Yet they build grand temples copious
They say it is about tva but the twain doesn’t meet
Some eat meat for which they feel the heat
By birth, some are considered able and some others untouchable
They make Gods in stone yet throw stones at others
Make slokas for the gods but shout slogans against others
Worship the rivers as goddesses yet let rivers remain unfit for even the dogs
Name the women after the numerous goddesses
Yet women remain unsafe from the eyes lecherous
Our land has many billionaires
Yet a quarter of a billion goes hungry.
Here the weather has many seasons
There are many reasons for treason.
Here many start-ups become a unicorn
But unemployment niggles like foot corn.
Many dreams about the past glory
While many try to meet ends in the present gory
Our leaders spin a tale of becoming a Vishwa Guru
None willing to acknowledge how poverty and hunger grew.
Many seek from the myriad god's benediction
In our great land full of contradiction.
