Yesterday was the last time I cried for you,

Is what you feel, overwhelmingly new? 

My heart didn’t pound when I heard your name,

I’m ready for life. I’m back in the game.

This was by far the toughest goodbye.

I was a recluse and maybe even wanted to die.

But then I realized I had so much more to give,

And hence for my future loved ones I had to live! 

I chose me over you.

It was difficult but long overdue.

I felt the ache and to an extent that void.

But more than anything, I feel overjoyed.

I have no regrets and you have no remorse.

This is as far as it goes.

Thank you for all that you did.
