Cold Water

Cold Water

What cold water feels like to me;

Is refreshing and sweet relief,

As it slides down my throat,

It chills me to the core,

Lulling the burn of summer,

Breathing life when it's a bummer!

The droplets on the outer case,

Slithering down, it caught my gaze

Engrossed in its spherical shape,

Reminded me it was once a mighty lake,

Now, all that still remains,

Is an itty bitty drop of rain.
