Clean Reflections
Clean Reflections
Look deep into me and you’d find,
Clean reflections
Of what the world isn’t,
Of what the people aren’t,
Of what you want to see
Of what soothes your eyes
And what pleases your heart.
Clean reflections
Of windows that are closed and you wish to peep in,
Of the dark truths you won’t believe in,
Of the evils your eyes won’t bear
And the realities your existence is far off from.
Clean reflections
Of hidden facts,
Of closed racks,
Of unread pages,
Of unclean cages,
Of ugly faces,
Of untied laces,
Of what you wish to see,
Of what you wish to be,
Of what amuses you,
Of what confuses you,
Of charms you’ve held,
And of harms you’ve borne.
Of times you’ve always been left alone.
Of the world you wish sometime was yours,
Of pain you desire had a few cures.
Of tales that were never about your soul,
Of people who could never be your whole.
But,
Don’t turn around.
Do not turn around for you’d find all the ugly facts and realities that would harm your innocent eyes and tender ears.
Do not turn around for it might be fatal to your being.
Keep looking into these reflections I carve, to be alive harmoniously.
