Candle Light
Candle Light
I have lit the candle
In the dark,
Slowly does it dwindle;
It might soon,
Be finally blown
But might even rekindle.
If it glows, I shall be
One of those lucky few
The ones who are chased by fortune,
Whenever they start anew!
And if it blows out, in the dark,
Then I shall always strive,
Traversing the unknown, all alone,
To fight, to win, to thrive!
Such is the candle of hope,
With the flame so vulnerable,
Filled with uncertainties----
It's never dependable.
But I must say, there's no harm,
To fill a heart with hope,
Only if you can expect the worst
With tenacity to cope!
