Can't We Love a Little Harder?

Isn't it amazing?

Two people, once complete strangers,

Eventually, come across,

Gradually get to know each other,

And decide to stand by each other

Till whatever the eternity means.

Now, both pray for the other's happiness

Even before their own.

They are not "blood relation" as it is called,

And still, they are a pair of random people–

Just like one of those 7 billion other faces.

No, this is not a love story.

If we think of it,

Most of the relations in the world

Are knead with these tiny threads

Of kindness,

Of trust,

and of cognitive decision

to stand by each other till the end. 

It's all in our hearts and minds

(whatever those mean).

If we decide to love, we can love;

Harder than we can even imagine.

If we decide to hate,

we simply lessen the numbers of relations

around us, for us.

So let's all decide to love,

And be loved.

We can make the world a living heaven

Unlike the hell, we're going through now,

Just by loving a little harder.
