'Bye' To My Mom

Bye to my mom,

I couldn't say,

I was late to work, 

Still was on my way.

Mom texted me soon,

"Don't worry son, 

You will be fine"

Was busy to reply,

It was then noon.

Phone rang times,

Mom's call I did miss,

"I am busy mom"

I texted,

She sent me flying kiss. 

It was mid night,

When I was home,

Mom was then,

All day alone.

It was already dawn,

I called her out,

She lay still on bed, 

Did not hear me shout.

My hands did shiver,

To hold her hand now,

Cold they were as the ice,

Couldn't believe how.

Calls I did miss,

Had answers to say,

Had I picked them once,

Mom would be here today.

Mom gave all her time,

I did not give her seconds of mine,

What more to say,

I am late today,

I wish I did say, 

'Bye' to my mom yesterday.
