Sometimes I close my eyes

So I could hide from my sorrows

And enjoy a moment of bliss

Far from painful stones;

Of hurtful words

Thrown at me by those I call family & friends.

Sometime I wish my chest had a window;

One I’d always leave widely open

So y’all could see the tears flooding my heart

So y’all could see that my heart’s not a stone

So y’all could see that am human too,

So y’all could see that I also get hurt
