Broken Melodies
Broken Melodies
Morning sun tiptoes through a dusty window sill,
Cherishing the cacophony of a fleeting day's spill,
Strutting on broken sky, on withered meadow,
Just in time to catch the slithering shadow,
Of a milky grip on fingers charred,
On pale grim walls of memories marred;
Insipid eyes see more than they can seek,
Insipid eyes a fugitive for rancour and reek;
Eyes know that day, that only love and love is all,
A pillar so pious, a pillar won't fall;
Lips like lovers meet for a touch sublime,
Lips depart from their sojourn for the first time;
And then she hears a melody of forfeited fetish,
The melody says 'MAA'
Making world relegate and the world relinquish.
