Black And White
Black And White
So long,
I'm tired of the lying and dark,
And I want the truth and light.
It's been grey for too long,
And I want it black and white.
Bold like the contrast of dark pupils
To the rest of the deep, beautiful white eyes;
Long black hair falling graciously
On a white shirt, like calm winter tides.
Something like the playfulness of black sneakers over white socks
Something paving the path ahead
And cracking the hurdle rocks.
I want to put more truth
Into this song,
Something as true as blacks and whites
It's been grey for far too long,
And I'm oh so tired of the lies.
