Beyond Conscience
Beyond Conscience
Wish I still had a desire to fly
To touch them clouds so high
And the silver lining, oh endless sky
To not be so naive and waste it all
A path laid back in time, I recall
A journey of setbacks and pain
Bubbled up to rise but in vain
Benign tumor rest inside
Colorless, Futile life of mine
Behind the bricks of fortune, I hide
A little man, and his presence so fine
Please refrain culpable homicide,
Steering through, oh fate of past
A man is dying all along,
And writing down the memory lane
Until all his thoughts and feelings last.
A day not so far away,
When the skin starts to wither
Purple, green and blue,
Mourns around a body so still, these people,
Could have been the reason for you
To live, to love, to fly
To touch them clouds so high
And the silver lining, oh endless sky
