Being An Older Sibling Is...
Being An Older Sibling Is...
Being responsible for every sibling,
Being the one who brings the change
Being the one to endure everything strange.
Being the one to heal the trauma
As well as heal their mama.
The one who shoulders all the blame
Even when it shouldn't have been their name
The one who cries at night
To let go of all that might.
Being the one to never live upto expectations
The one to have carrer reservations- made by parents
They are understood. But are they really?
Being an older sister is wanting the best for siblings
Even after all that quibbling
The one to fantasize about getting hurt-just to take a break
To forget everything at stake And live. Just live.
The ones who have it hard so others have it easy
But they are so needy
No one stands beside them truly.
Expectations are hard to bear
Especially when one can't even see themselves clear
Being the older sister is being there for everything
To hear every wish of people like a ring
Older ones are misunderstood. They are the rebels
So others can sail
They are the noble sacrifices, made To achieve the great trade.
