Awakening

In the quiet shadow of our hearts,

We all break, piece by tender piece,

Stonehearted myths, just words in books,

For when the truth unveils, we cease.

A hand outstretched, a soul in need,

Can flood our eyes with silent tears,

In sudden waves, emotions rise,

Dissolving all our guarded fears.

To help, to heal, in simple ways,

To mend the world with gentle hands,

We summon forth the human true,

Unveil the self that love commands.

Let’s strip away the masks we wear,

Reveal the roots from which we’ve grown,

And teach the world through acts of care,

The strength that’s found in hearts alone.
