 world   dream   grow   laugh   live   believe   kind   ready   belong   world poetry day 

They laughed every time I was left out, 

They said I did not belong. 

They laughed every time I raised my hand,

They said I just wasn't ready yet. 


They laughed when I fumed with anger,

They said I needed to toughen up. 

They laughed when I cried,

They said I had to grow up. 

They made me believe world is what they are.


They said I was fit for my dream world! 

One day I stopped trying to fit in anymore and decided to build a world for me. 

A world that's kind, a world that's humble, a world that's just for me. 

They laughed once again and said we always knew - "she was meant to be'.
