An Open Letter

An Open Letter

You were crying, weren't you? Yes, you were crying and I wiped your tears off.

The more agony you preserved, the more weight I gained.

Remember those monsoons? You caressed me with such a vibrance that I sparked in joy and in sorrow, and in desperation and despair and dismay and you name it!

One day you cut the tip pf your index finger and touched me with your blood.

I knew the warmth of your blood. I knew when it rushed through your veins in joy and when in pain and when in desire and when in indifference.

I knew when your pupils got dilated. I knew when your pulse got elevated. I could feel each pore of your body when you got goosebumps.

Remember those days when you, in your leisure, used to lie on your chest, with a pillow beneath your breasts, and looked at me.

As soon as you touched me, your heart began to pour out all the untold words and tears and songs and poems that you could never possibly be able to reveal without me.

Come on, be honest this time, could you?

Why did you abandon me? Why did you leave me choked beneath your pillow and then forgot about my existence?

You got a new companion, smarter than me indeed, and thus I'm left crumbled, torn.

Well, I accept your ignorance. After all, I have got your whole entity in me engraved.

Leave me, go away from me, get indulged in those tiny letters, all so similar and without warmth and passion, get drenched in the confusions and headaches tangled with the backspace.

I am happy. I am happy without you and this time, I am leaving you.

One day or another, you will surely feel the urgency to find me and then you'll regret that you have lost the old fashioned heart that held the timeless love.

-Yours,

The bundle of letters hidden forever and lost.
