An Absolute Awe

Resonating as an echo I shall be,

In a whirlwind of arid dust, to cleanse and set me free.

Oh, my woe, these crisps I cannot possess,

To witness their existence, nor claim innocence, I confess.

What defines me as a man, where lies my identity,

Without you, above all, I am but a shadow, a count of obscurity.

Flicker of doom, my troubled spirit pleads,

To the Lord, who resembles bruises yet wholesomeness leads.

I lay my cause in fragments, perfection not attained,

Yearning for you to fill my emptiness, to mend what's strained.

To whom shall I plead for absolution and grace,

Among the voices of cowards, the naysayers' base.

Exposing my transgressions, scrutinizing every thought,

For whom shall I relent, in you, O cross, my solace sought.
