Africa; This Beautiful Land!
Africa; This Beautiful Land!
The land of treasures
The land that birthed our ancestors and heroes
The land where our great men valor, lost their lives to her emancipation
This land, our homeland
Where treasures slip down like a draining honey,
Where gold roll like tides
And oil enveloped the soil
This land, our homeland
Where fertile soil is an aura
Where Ivories, Silver and Diamonds are harboured by the vast wild
This land, our homeland
Where rich Savannah blossom
And plants with sweet aroma
Unfurl their bright petals
Whose scent smells from a distance
You're our motherland!
Oh Africa,
The land of our roots
When the sun shall rise,
We all shall stand in strength
To keep off the rays of
Our tribalism and free you from our tragic hands
When the darkness shall cease,
We shall all assert together,
In our voice, the match to freedom and untie the Scarlett,
You have been smothered with
When the break of dawn shall emerge, with all its brightness,
We shall live to embrace the light, and cherish the bright morning
When wars shall be bitter,
In our own residence,
There than, shall we all learn to join hands and stick in Africanism and not tribalism
You're the land of our dreams,
But with our own abominations,
We've all sprouted out the dreams
You're the land our forefathers fought for!
But now we've left their struggles and their courage faded in vain
You're a land whose beauty soars behind the fantasy of thoughts, where all races wish to live in
It's sad seeing our own hands held you down to dusts and chains
But I believe that time shall arrive, when we, all shall know we are enough to raise you up to the skyline of the universe together with our nations
I believe that time shall come, when we all shall understand our history and treasure the liberation our founders toiled for
I believe that time shall arrive, when we all shall be able to hold hands together and walk the pavements in unity and love of brotherhood
I believe that one day, we shall only be called Africans and not countrymen
