Abhorrent Smile

The version of the world we knew 

Has dreadfully changed 

Intoxicated with turbulent darkness 

Surfacing deep obscure sorrows 

Drenched in cold water 

The human heart has turned stone 

With no emotions 

Standing like a scarecrow
