A Venomous Apple
A Venomous Apple
She stood with a man, contented and lustrous
Her rich family showered gold
The man as a prince, in love he was
With the lady, beautiful, rich and bold
The day of bliss, the marriage dawn
Decided indeed, the day after
The prince demanded a chunk of silver
With his handsome face as his plaster
The lady without hesitation, who fell in the spell
Had given half of her precious regalia
The man delaying the marriage day,
Was a thief in the cover of a prince
Most of her trinkets had been given in a wrong hand,
The lady unaware of what had come into the being
When it was the day of the marriage
Excited, she made a fring
That was when she had a strike
The man revealed his true form
"Give me your money, you being!"
He barked, and realization struck her temple dome
This was an example of cheaters and lovers,
Be brave to part with the ones who betray
Trust all your loved ones
And keep only sweet apples on your tray
