Last Words

Those words rang into my throat

As my best companions spirit began to float

I was too woebegone to cry

And with her last words, the light in her eyes began to die

I never realized how notable to me she was..

Until I realized about my ghastly loss

But...it is done...time cannot be turned

The ghost of my most loved one now danced with me

She was with me, when I was down

To prevent me from going deep for a drown

When i was cheerful, she always did beam

Together, we were the best team

But, i didn't know how much she meant to me

Until today, when she was down still like a tree

Yes, we never realize the value of something unless it is gone

For she told me before she left," I shall always love you, from dusk till dawn,"
