I Stood There, Doing Nothing
I Stood There, Doing Nothing
I passed through a street when I saw it
A man next to the dog, with a chain it was hit
It whimpered, howled and screamed in pain
Yet, the man didn't stop...he continued to exercise his chain
I didn't do anything, I didn't move a muscle
The poor continued his ruffle
I stood there, doing nothing
And went on.. my head ducking
Guilt shuddered through me
The dog suffered in pain... all because of me
I was a coward...timorous about the man
And because of this, I caused a life to jam
