A Poem, No Less
A Poem, No Less
This was, but a suggestion
by my self care app
To write to you, and
I'd been thinking the same for a while,
too
What to pen down, what to say?
What to ask, to this silence?
Been listening to that song you sent
Exactly a year ago, wasn't it?
Oh, don't the lyrics resonate now
more than ever before...
Hey, how's it there? Are you
keeping well? You know, I
always wondered if hugs
could perhaps reach that far...
Describe it all, won't you? I want
a poem, no less. Keep it ready
to read over and
over as we listen, again
Been going through that
poem you loved
A hint of the winds, bound
in the words...
Oh, but you broke free
and truly mingled with
the winds tonight
Remember that test we always gave?
Couldn't help but ask
"How'd it go?", all excited, the
night the results were out
to the courier winds, as always.
Learning
how to let it go,
I guess...
The emptiness
is getting filled, echoes
of the soothing songs...
Distracting... perhaps?
And I kept talking more, as usual
The winds keep silent still, ever
so soft, the light's
faded, and
now it's dark, your
whispers just out of reach. I can
but imagine...
Ca-ra-pher-ne-li-a
Hi-ra-eth
Sau-da-de
Na-tsu-ka-shii
(Cwtch, hm...?)
Such pretty words, what
to choose? Through which
to express?
Oh and then again,
There was, "Yūgen"
A profound sense of the universe,
as I said, or perhaps really
The beauty of humans suffering
as you did...
The profoundness of it's
meaning; yet another thing
left behind with me
The lamp post light
through the leaves, the
heavy fogs tonight...
The shifting shadows as I
dance alone
barefoot on the balcony, it's
cold, but there's peace...
There's the winds tonight
And so are you...
Pages and pages
Don't forget, ok?
A poem, no less....
