Rain On The Dark Night

Rain On The Dark Night

Quietly with the thunder broke open the sky,

I sat in a corner secretly wanting to fly.

The radio rocked with a sad old song,

Didn't want to think about the future long.

Streetlight made the little puddles shine,

Delighting the little heart of mine.

The clouds cracked with laughter,

The wind blew off the little raindrops after.

Breaking the silence of the night,

To come down, the raindrops seem to fight.

The family of the drops broke down on the grounds,

With t

heir varied luck, they went to different places,

Some towards the sea, some towards the lily's faces.

The once moonlit streets now purple yellow,

The trees look all green and mellow.

The benches on the street sat low,

Having no companion at all, it looked at the yellow lit lamp's glow.

The drops could be seen,

Wherever the lamp's light had been.

But on top of it was the dark naked sky,

Who now had not a single spec of clouds,

Of the rain, it seemed to lie.
