A Path to Sophrosyne

Every day I stand in front of the mirror,

And ask questions to myself with valour.

Today I stared at my face a bit perplexed,

“What is life?” my heart shouted..

Those faded scars on my face caused a hullabaloo and said-

Life is known for the problems it poses,

Because life isn’t a bed of roses. 

Life gives a chance to everyone for shining,

Because, every cloud has a silver lining.   

Life presents “nuggets of truth” before us

We have to blow the lid off the obstacles

And have to create our own recipes to bestow miracles..

Life is like a cloth that is unstitched,

We have to embellish it into a seraphic outfit.

Life is like a postulate,

We have got our own hypotheses and laws to ameliorate.

Life is a game and people are the cards in a deck,

Obnoxious situations make us understand who is real, who is fake.

Having known that all these are inevitable,

You should try to become invincible.

If you stand with tenacity,

You can fill your life with serendipity.

Animated world enamours us and in real life we cause a blunder,

We never want to solve the enigmas of life because we want life to be a nine days’ wonder

Life is not about building castles in the air,

It is all about setting the Thames on fire.
