A Letter To My Son
A Letter To My Son
The apple of my eye
Since the day you were born
You've brought me so much joy I admit,
I haven't slept well for years
Adjusting, since you needed space
Or the every morning battle to get you ready,
While I try to keep up the pace I know I get worried about your handwriting and studies,
However, these little tussles between us I can handle them at ease
But I wonder sometimes If what I'm giving you is enough
If I can prepare you for a future, which may be tough
I wonder if I can make you strong to face the challenges that you may see
If I can teach you, to be more kind, loving and a decent human being.
I know one day you will all grow up
Have your own life, your circle of friends
And perhaps, even your priorities might change
Baby, I will guard you, protect you as much as I can
But let me tell you, it's a precious life, you've got in your hands
You may fail, fall or even get your heartbroken
But remember, I will always be there to listen, even to your words unspoken
I've known you the longest
Since the day you claimed your place in my womb
You always manage to find a way to make me smile
Even when the day seems all gloom.
You have been my ultimate bliss
There's never a moment spent with you
, That I would like to miss I love you so so much
No words can ever tell
And all I hope for you,
Is that you be a good person and treat everyone around you well.
