A Face Among Many
A Face Among Many
I am a face among many,
You know me, you don't,
You pass by me, you don't,
I am a helper,
Maybe a doctor
I am a vendor,
Maybe a cleaner.
I am face among many,
I too have a family,
Still I come your way,
Still I help your life,
You think I do my work,
Well, I am paid for it
But I too have a family.
I lay my life,
In a world infected,
I lay my life,
To help many,
Still you say,
"Well, he "was" a doctor,
He did his duty",
"But what about my life?
What about my family?"
I too could stay at home,
Still I am helping,
And you say,
"Well she "was" a teacher,
She did her duty,
And taught many."
I am a face among many,
I will remain one,
I don't want your sympathy,
But a little heart will do,
I don't need your feelings,
But a little remembrance will do.
Remember me in your prayers,
I too have a family,
Like all of you at home,
I too have dear ones,
Like all of you at home.
