A Baker's Poetry
A Baker's Poetry
I am an amateur baker
Whole-wheat bread maker
With some whole wheat flour
And saved milk cream
With some yeast added to warm sweetened milk
I see the yeast rise and get a kick
Mix all with the dough and added water
Salt to taste make no haste.
Cover it take a nap, energy doesn’t sap
Raises does the dough
I am not a millionaire though
Mix the dough yet again
See the dough with the softness regain(ed).
In the oven, you bake it
Once ready, out you take it.
The sweet smell of bread
In the house does it spread.
As I dip the warm bread in the tea
Words flow out as poetry.
I am an amateur bread maker
Whole wheat bread maker.
