Calmness
Calmness
There are times when I don't understand,
What you have been through all day,
I be a potpourri of various moods,
Sometimes a little bit too rude,
Yet you never mention it once,
About how hard your day has been,
About how irrational I can be,
You instead try to understand me,
Hold me still and cheer me up,
But today I have got to confess up,
You are a lake serene, deep and placid,
While I am those tiny ripples on it,
Which you smoothen out with your calm,
I don't know how you understand me,
Without me telling you a thing,
I know you are the best thing that happened,
And I promise I will try harder,
To not be a liability but your strength,
Because while you maintain your calm,
Let me be the cheerful anomaly!
