Dreamer

It poured from the Sky,

Like a velvet floating in the wind,

Moulded by the earthly forces, changing shape,

Taking new figures, hiding the true self beneath

Various distinct colors- all suited to mingle

And drown in the sea of convention and familiarity;

So that it is never questioned, never doubted, all stays as it is.

It was a Dream from the sky trying to find a new home!

But slowly it worked its way through her,

Raising possibilities, showing glimpses of

Seashores and white sand,

Mountain tops and gushing gorges,

Lush green fields and songs of the cuckoo;

Taking her to see the Sunsets –

The mix of Sky, Sun and thousand shades of

Red, yellow and blue;

Waking her up with the first light

To acknowledge the soft golden pelt of morning rays –

jarring her soul to trust

In something greater, something beyond!

Slowly, she yearned for the stars, the moonlight

Teased her with the all slivery semblance and

She remembered - Where it came from? Where it belonged?

It was one wild dream from the Sky! And it belonged with the Stars!

Her soul stark, rising, unbound and unmatched-

Experiencing a surge of emotions,

A leap of epic proportions to surpass herself

And yield only to her own Dreams.

It was the wild dream from the Sky! And what it has done –

Made a misfit, a rebel; made her a believer, made her a Dreamer!
