A Midnight Dream
A Midnight Dream
When your eyes are heavy
Breathes both warm and cold
Your body struggling to find the right chords
Oscillating
Fidgeting
Abandoning
Your thoughts, Motions
Intertwined between sleep
And waking up with a gasp
You look at the empty walls pointlessly
You look at your hand and feet
Apprehending
Comprehending
What have you become…!
I want to vent out all my confusions, my doubts
My agony and arrive at something true
Whose existence is not challenged by
Mere hiccups of daily life
Through turbulence tested
And established deep to my core.
It will not be an easy journey
And what would become of me
Could be perhaps charred black burnt in the sun
Could be like a fallen leaf withered and lifeless
Could be as bright as a beam of moonlight
Raining silver over the tranquil meadow,
Lush green, mystical which
I could see with my eyes closed.
As the clock strike midnight
The eyes awaiting under the moonlit sky
Enclosing the silver in the seeking gaze
Raked and gently held by a feeble voice, a distant calling
Began to see imagery on the empty canopy
Of words, you want to read
Of dreams, you want to live…
