Hope
Hope
“Hope” is the thing with feathers,
Fragile, yet comforting and soft.
Enduring even harshest of weathers,
It will land on your shoulder oft.
Easy to lose but hard to find,
We can find ourselves giving up.
But I am here for you to remind,
Things will start looking up.
A glimmer is all one needs,
From a loved one or a stranger.
Rid of all of your mind’s weeds,
They might put you in danger.
In shadows you might dwell,
You spirits getting lower.
But my dear mademoiselle,
Things get better, though a little slower.
Even after the tempestuous rains,
Come the joyful rainbows.
Your suffering and your pains,
Forget about them, I propose.
The spider kept on going,
Seventh time was her charm.
Rivers never stop flowing,
Losing hope is the only harm.
Lemonade is what you make,
With the glass half full.
Your worries, you should forsake,
I know they can be handful.
Look for your silver lining,
In the darkest of clouds.
The stars above will keep on shining,
They don’t think about the crowds.
