Sans Desires
Sans Desires
Thou art there to unburden,
Rushed to help the ‘Gopis’,
Not to lift the pails of water, but,
helping them to put down the pots, to unburden.
We seek fame, fortune and potential,
But, these can’t give us happiness, ye mortal
For all these are basically external,
While happiness lies internal.
There’s nothing to achieve really,
Indic scriptures say, that,
we’re essentially ‘Sat’, ‘Chit’ and ‘Anand’,
The aim of life is self-realization, trust it.
If we’re in tune with righteousness,
Vedic hymns teach us therein,
It’s encompassing the whole universe,
Simply, we need to turn our gaze within.
Listening to the comments of the so called educated, it may be,
We presume everything in Ramayana and Mahabharata to be myth and unreal .
Such criticisms, forget all those.
Do read these Epics as amazing creative writings.
Be mesmerized by these masterpieces of literature.
In the entire world such epics are very rare.
Ramakrishna Paramhans,
Sans any formal educations,
Unfolded the world of knowledge and wisdom.
The reader of all scriptures,
Swami Vivekanand looked at him,
Awestruck with wonders.
On the very journey of life,
Our belongings are our desires,
The less the baggage,
The more comfortable the journey is.
