Chasing The Horizon
Chasing The Horizon
See that line there, among the crowds,
Where the land meets the sky
And the waves mingle with the clouds.
That’s the horizon where my dreams stand,
And I’m chasing to reach them, striding on the
Rocky roads pulling me back by hand.
But fatigue overcomes and I stand under the starry sky,
Waiting, when somewhere I begin to realise
That the horizon is nothing but a beautiful lie.
For the horizon was always an illusion,
The distance to reach it had no measure.
But it came to life simply with my perception.
And I would’ve reached my dreams overseas,
If I had broadened my horizons,
And looked beyond them for opportunities.
