She
She
As she turns back the pages,
There's a lot that she can see,
Some places that she wants to go back to,
Some places that she feels she never should have been to.
The pictures, she swipes them left and right,
Oh, and see how much she has grown,
Nostalgia brings her back the memories
And questions her, "Are you the same little girl, timid and shy?"
And the winds clutter and whisper in the ears,
"No, not anymore."
She airs a new sense of confidence and walks taking the world in stride,
But unveiling the mask would only reveal the truth.
Timid and shy, still in her zone;
Pretending to be the strongest of all.
She still becomes hollow when it comes to people close to her heart,
But she has definitely grown,
By knowing what she deserves;
So that she doesn't again fall.
