Tacenda

Tacenda

Her suicide note was signed silence!

Skeleton sunken deep in the land of the lost, eye sockets blooming lilies, hollow marks, bones forgotten the taste of the flesh and ribs tickling each other in an empty space.

Wondering about the only fact mentioned in ‘that’ note

“Now I figured out who we were:

Two strangers tacending, again!

But now it’s quiet and here I’m, shrunken down into this little measure. Wherein, my identity is marked by abbreviations and life by mere punctuation.

Isn’t it painful?

Because I have seen people speak in silence and starve themselves up to the sky.

I always liked the silence between us, just sitting there and doing nothing, the silence which took me into the wild, and we were more keen to read intuitions over fears. I lost track of myself and now this place, this silence, this wild freedom seems like home. This inability to express it should I say Tacenda!

Wait..

But this place is a bit different. Here I’m free and can stop and capture all those moments I spent with you.

Nevertheless, I have stopped countless times and have said it out silently eagerly waiting to be heard. I always felt that the meaning and emotions will flow with time as its always running. So, each time I stopped and breathed and said I love you silently, I expected a forever.

Yes! A forever, where my words would fit the eternity and all you could hear was this never-ending void of silence. Why?

Maybe because we were tacending, again!

It’s okay!

Finally, you can take my name in silence and it will sound like a gunshot”.
