କେବେ କଣ୍ଟକିତ ତ କେବେ ପୁଷ୍ପିତ

କେବେ ଆଶାର ଆଲୋକ 

ତ କେବେ ନିରାଶାର ବାଲିକୁଦ

ସ୍ବାର୍ଥ ଓ ଆକାଂକ୍ଷାର ଚକା ଭଉଁରୀରେ

ନା କେହି ଆପଣାର ନା କେହି ମିତ

ଜୀବନ ହରଣରେ ପରିଶେଷରେ

ଶୁନ୍ ହେଇଯିବ ଭାଗଶେଷ

ଉଠାଣି ଗଡାଣିଆ ରାସ୍ତା ଏ ଜୀବନ

ଦୁଃଖ ଓ ସୁଖର ସୁନ୍ଦର ମିଶ୍ରଣ

ଏଇତ ଆମ ଜୀବନ ଏହାଁହି ଜୀବନ।
