The sun was at its highest and beaded sweat trickled down my forehead. I stood in the never-ending queue for the local bus which I and many others were impatiently waiting for.

"Hey look at the nine-month-old pregnant"! A man whispered. I felt ashamed, people stared at my belly. I was tongue-tied and chose to keep quiet. I was raging inside. It used to be so bad that on a regular basis I would be asked when my baby was due. Actually what they were telling was the truth but up to some point.

After a couple more minutes someone tapped on my shoulder. I turned back, he was Yogesh, my college friend. We shared memories and suddenly he looked my belly and grinned, "whoo that's gonna be a big baby." "What?" I didn't know how to process that reaction and my mind went blank. I was at a total loss for words, perhaps I would have just laughed it off, but the comment did offend and humiliate. I stole a glance at him.

But suddenly I lost colour of my face, I began to feel sick. I realized I was palpitating. It was as if my heart has stopped beating. I was immediately rushed to the hospital for an emergency. The doctor assumed that a tumor was growing inside, I was under the care of an amazing surgeon who wanted me to go through surgery straight away. But miracles happen! When the surgeon puts his hand inside, he found a lot of bone, limbs, and some parts of hairs. It actually felt as if I gave birth. It was like a half-formed creature with feet and hands. But there was no placenta, the creature was connected directly to my blood supply. I was carrying the mutated body of my twin brother for 36years. It was the most bizarre medical condition "Fetus in fetu. "

A distended belly can be embarrassing, but for a man. Yes! I was a man who was born and lived his life with a distended belly that made me feel uncomfortable all my life. After surgery, I started feeling better. Surgery gave me a second chance at life. My physical and mental well-being has significantly improved, and now I back on my feet without my bloated belly.
