This story is based on real life incidents that are so heart touching and sensitive.           . . . .        . .  Shyama , Shyama your phone is ringing continuously, called out Shyama's husband Sudhir. Shyama was busy with her morning prayers . She had to get into the kitchen and prepare breakfast and other chores before Sudhir would be at the table. He would have to get ready and go to his Office. Everything as usual and so Shyama could not answer the phone call. After her daily routine got completed , with Sudhir at the Office and her children at their Schools for the day she picked up her phone and checked the missed phone call.

The number did not look familiar. Since the calls were made so many times , out of curiosity she decided to call back and find out as to who the caller was. She dialled the number but got no response from the other side. After a few minutes she called back and again the same no response. The next call got attended by someone but the voice was not at all clear and Shyama could hardly understand what the other person was saying. She disconnected the phone and got busy preparing a list of all the activities that she had to complete in the coming weeks and on top of the list was the service she had to do at a deaf and dumb School.

Before we proceed with the happening further let us see the background of the reason as to why Shyama was so inclined to do this work first and foremost. Shyama was a good mannered, affectionate and sensible child. She was always concerned about everyone and would be ready to offer any help that she could do to others. She would share her things with her less fortunate class mates . She always prayed to God that she be granted wealth that would help her to solve problems of others. She idolised Mother Theresa and tried to do a bit of help to anyone if possible.

But, fate had something strange in store for her. As a teenager she was happy that things were looking possible on this front but alas in her twenties something drastic happened that took her family into a deep crisis. Her father quit his job and now the family was facing severe consequences of this decision. Shyama had to quit her studies and join a garment factory that would pay meagre amount and squeeze a lot of work from the workers. Every penny was so precious . After a day of hardwork she would study at night for her exams that would get her a degree which could fetch her better earning potential. But, Shyama was ambitious . She would provide money to her family and as we know to the needy as well. But, how she can do this was a big puzzle to a young girl at that time. With a lot of will power she continued for some time Like a blessing her father re joined his job ofcourse with another company.

Things were better now. Shyama quit her job at the garment factory, completed her studies and took up a job with a private company. Job was alright and earning too was fine. Happy times continued for some time. But, , these times took a beating when Shyama's father decided to quit his comfortable job and start a business that would help to be his own boss. Imagine the tension that created in all their minds with this decision. Shyama's father was non- challant and he continued with his venture. Of course the idea of distributing industrial gases was good. But where from he could arrange the capital to be invested? He had to depend upon the savings and his pension amount that he got after he quit his job It was a risk that he took After arranging some money he started his business. It was not a cake walk. Everyday was a challenge .

He managed it well for sometime. Shyama noticed her father being tense most of the time. As a young girl she knew something was not proper but what was that was beyond her imagination. She was busy with her studies and other chores. Shyama noticed that her father was getting dependent on alcohol for his sleep . Her mother tried to discuss this issue with her father but was of no use. Soon her father became an alcoholic and business was going into doldrums. He had to go for heavy loans with high rate of interest to run the show. Things as t home were so tense that none of them had peace of mind. The workers at the workshop were making profits outside the shop. The business partner was now cheating at her father's behest. Soon the time came when Shyama's father went brankrupt. Her brothers were not experienced.

She understood that her father had got some distribution contracts with big industries that would make them earn a lot of profits if done efficiently. She was a graduate so she could go for a bank loan and for women it was a bit more easier. She coaxed her mother to pledge her jewellery and a small plot that was registered in her name as collateral. Her father's health was not good. So, finally she took complete charge of the company. She started from the scratch. Checked the credentials of each contract, approached them with an open mind, charted each step to be taken and started work with great planning . She slogged for hours and set the ball rolling. During the process she understood being a woman in a man's profession was not at all easy. There were all types of eagles and wolves that she had to fight professionally and personally . But she did not want to get deterred by these matters. With some useful tips and guidance from her father she went ahead with every project and completed the tasks brilliantly. She was lucky to find women who were hardworking and dedicated whom she gave jobs at her workshop. The profits of the company soared. She was able to provide good health facilities to her father who was able to get over his alcoholism. She managed to get a bigger workshop and warehouse within no time. .
