Time To Change

Shruti was busy doing her mundane chores at home , when she got a call from Tiya her daughter. "Ma pack up your stuff and get ready, I have made all the arrangements for the trekking. We will begin our journey on Sunday and head straight to Rudraprayag .

Then we will begin the trek . We will stay in the camp. Oh Ma , its going to be real fun. " 

Shruti heard everything and began to wonder if it was true. Her life had been so mundane for the last twenty years. It had been the same domestic chores she had continued with due to the orthodox family that she was married in. Never had she got a chance to pursue her career or freedom to visit a place of her choice. She had read a lot about " The Valley of Flowers" and had great desires to visit it but unfortunately could never visit it. 

As she heard Tia's excited voice at the other end , her own soul leapt with joy . It was a demure coming true, she thought that she was still dreaming , when Tia said " Ma , I hope you are listening to me. Please come over to my place on Friday evening . We will have to sit and make the plans together. We will also watch some of your favourite movies together. " Shruti was on cloud nine and realised that it was indeed the " Time To Change." It was indeed the time to be independent and wander across to places of her interest before it was too late. Her daughter's present on Mother's Day was indeed thoughtful. She smiled and tears of joy ran down her cheeks as she said "Thank you dear Tia", I will be there on Friday evening." She was excited to go for the trekking like a child who feels excited to open her new presents on her birthday.

She decided to pen down her experiences of her trekking in the form of a story titled ,"The Trek to The Valley of Flowers." She felt too happy that day as she was going to try something new leaving behind the mundane routine.
