The Thirsty Elephent

Once upon a time..... there was an Elephant. He was very thirsty. So, he went to the river bank to drink water.While he was drinking water, a Banana plant got stuck in his trunk! He went crying to his parents, who were trying to find something to eat for dinner.

When they saw their little child crying. They asked him, "What happened to you?"

The poor Elephant replied painfully, "I was very thirsty when I was coming home. So I went to the river to drink water. While I was drinking.....this Banana plant got stuck in my trunk!"

His father said, "Don't worry! we'll make you fine."

His parents pulled and pulled the Banana plant,until.....they finally got it out!

Immediately, the small Elephant felt himself very hungry. So, he got an idea!

"Since you haven't cooked anything for dinner, and I'm really hungry. Why don't we prepare the plant for dinner?" He asked excitedly

His mother replied, "Yes, I like your idea! "

They cooked and ate the Banana plant for dinner.

From that day on, whenever there wasn't anything to eat, the little Elephant would go to the same river, get a Banana plant,and then he and his parents would cook and eat it.
