The Magical Tale

Yasmin was very happily driving on the roads singing her favourite song along with the music system. The reason for her happiness is she now stepped into her motherland after years. She is a 25-year-old girl trying to colour her dreams.

Suddenly, a mid-aged woman fainted on the roadside. She immediately stopped her car and rushed towards her. It was a summer afternoon. No one was around there too. She poured some water on her face and patted her face. She got a little conscious. She gave her some water to drink and took her to the car. She dropped the lady at her home. The woman was somewhat alright at that time. She called Yasmin to her home. Meantime during the travel, she came to know her health condition is low because of her worries about the marriage of her son. The woman's husband received her warmly. She noticed the sadness on the couple's faces. She advised her to be conscious about her health and gave hope that all worries will end soon. When Yasmin was ready to leave, she noticed his photo on that frame. Her world was stunned.

It took a moment for her to realize his dream boy was the reason for that woman's sadness. She doesn't know how to react and left that place immediately.

On her way back home, her mind travelled years back when she was in school. Arjun, a name that creates magic in her.

Life at school is one of the favourite parts of one's life. It gifts us more and more memories. Yasmin, a bright, intelligent yet innocent girl could be known as the singing star of the school. Everyone celebrated her growth, activities...But she was very keenly observing the movements of his dream boy and congratulating him very personally through the silent words, even he cannot hear it.

The day she met him first, she was arguing with him but he handled the situation coolly and left the place.

Arjun is not only the dream boy of Yasmin. Almost all the girls of that school liked him because of his good looks. But Yasmin was attracted to him because of his actions. She noticed him celebrating his every birthday and any other functions with the children of the orphanage. As she too doesn't have parents and was being raised by her grandparents, she felt he would take care of him very well.

Arjun is a determined guy who doesn't take much of the things inside his head other than his goals. Till the end of the school days, he doesn't notice Yasmin even at once.

Through some of his friends, she came to know he is going to do medicine. She too joined medicine as soon as possible.

Being pursuing medicine was her parents wish it became easy for her to admit it to her grandparents.

Till now, she doesn't know what happened to him after the schoolings? After years, she glimpsed him on a beautiful frame with his family.

Life is a beautiful mixture of emotions. It takes you to the rides on the tides. The next second of our life is not sure. We don't know what could be the new chapter what could be the new characters to be introduced in our story.

She reached home and her granny questioned about her dullness. As usual, she replied nothing and caged herself into the room. Right from the beginning, it is her room that consoled her. Why am I so unfortunate? I didn't ask too much I just wished him to be my life. Is that any wrong? She mumbled in pain.

We may act like it doesn't hurt but the truth is it kills you every second of your love. She started to practice her medicine in a multi-speciality hospital. Seeing different people coming in injury and healing them through her words and treatment became her routine. She was doing counselling to the patients too. Too young but she handles the mindset of patients smoothly. All her seniors used to ask her how is it possible. But only she knows her life and the people who she comes across has taught bigger lessons.

2 years later, she attended her friend's wedding party. Draped herself in a purple fancy saree. Her granny opened her mouth to speak about her marriage. But her facial expression put an end card to the conversation.

She was quite happy on that day as she is going to meet her bunch of friends after a long time. As a girl, she too thinks of her marriage at times.

But she believes that it won't work out further.

As soon as she met her friends, everything that happened was magical around her. She began laughing, beating, teasing, chasing. She was completely enjoying the time over there. When they were having dinner together, she got a phone call and she moved away to attend it.

When she was about to return, a tiny bundle of cuteness held her legs tightly. Surprisingly she lifted the baby. She might have been eating ice cream and ran half away. Her mouth was surrounded with vanilla cream.

"Hey cutie, what are doing here?" The little one was busy playing with her big earrings. Looking at the bundle of cuteness she too went to dreamland. A deep voice interrupted her dreams. When she found its owner, tears filled her eyes. Hearing the voice, the baby jumped into his hands and hugged his neck "Paa..." Her world struck. What he got married finally and has got a kid also.

How stupid am I? Till now I'm thinking of him. She left the place immediately. He called her but she was not ready to listen to him.

Her entire mindset was changed. She felt she couldn't be there anymore. She informed her friends that she is having an important case and returned home. He stood there staring at her footprints holding the baby in his hands.

She was not able to accept what happened the last day. Whom does time wait for? The next day she was in her usual rounds she noticed Arjun's mother in a special ward. She inquired about her health to the nurse. She was informed. She is fatigued.

More importantly, her mind is sick. Why is she still like this? Her worries were about her son. But now he is happily married and has got a beautiful kid too, right? She asked herself.

In the evening, she was supposed to see Arjun in his mother's room. She paid attention only to his mother. Advised her to take a healthy diet plan and asked her to attend counselling regularly. She didn't speak a word to Arjun.

Arjun followed her to the room, where she was holding her head in her hand. Can I get you some coffee? asked Arjun. I've stopped drinking coffee long back, replied Yasmin without looking at him.

Speak out, Yasmin. Only then I could get to know what you thinking. Yasmin burst out. Yes, you don't know what I'm thinking what I'm doing, how much I'm suffering, what I'm undergoing. You will never know about it. Don't make a try. Move out of my sight. I beg you, please.

Arjun met Vinu, Yasmin's close friend from her school days to know about Yasmin.

Hii Arjun Do you still remember me? How is life going on? How about your family? Good right? Vinu please May I know about Yasmin. What are you expecting me to say Arjun? I wish and believe you'll tell me the truth.

Well okay, I'll say you. Yasmin is in love with you. A period of silence last there. I didn't know about it. Even I too. She never said this to me. She was very much disturbed by that party night. Only after that, she unwrap her heart to me.

Arjun left Vinu's home assuring her Yasmin's happiness is his responsibility.

The next morning Yasmin received a voice message. Good morning, Laila. It didn't take much time for her to recognise that it was Arjun's voice. Laila, she said it again. When they both enacted in a school drama. She played the role of Laila. He still remembers it. Don't go mad Yasmin. He is now married and a father of a kid. Try to understand. She was getting ready for the hospital.

As soon she enters her cabin, she received a bread halwa. She loves it to the moon and back. Who would have sent this? The message popped up saying that it was from Arjun. How is it, Laila? My first ever trial in cooking...Who asked him to do these things? Must meet his wife and complain to her.

Wait how will his wife look? More beautiful of course she would be because the kid too was like a little angel. What will I react if I come to meet his wife? God, why am I thinking these things? I have more important works than this I'm leaving.

On the way to her home back, a delivery boy gave her a bouquet inked in a card. Dinner tonight??? I'll end this one today. Does he think I'm stupid?

Finally, she was there in the dining before him trying to bring anger in her face. Without any hesitation, Arjun asked her, "Will you do me a favour?" Yasmin asked him in a low but determined whether I have to be your secret wife?

Arjun never expected this from Yasmin. What am I coming to say and what this girl is saying oh my god how am I going to convince her? Hello if you need to dream then why did you call me here.

Arjun stared at Yasmin and started speaking, I never had a thought of marrying you. I swear. She felt indescribable pain at that time. Actually, I decided to meet you for some other reasons. What was it? Asked Yasmin silently.

Before that, I need to know what you are thinking of me? She looked into his eyes and said, ''I was in love with you yes even after knowing you're married, I'm in love with you." Come on stop joking am not married yet. She couldn't believe her ears. Don't lie. why should I? Her heart started feeling the rain of joy. Before knowing its wetness, everything dried because of his next words.

''Am going to get married." Even this time she couldn't believe her ears.

Arjun started saying to her what brought him here...

I met Vinu and asked about you. Only from her, I got to know your situation. Hope you remember you met a mid-aged woman that day and still now you're thinking of her as my mother. But it was not. He had a small pause. She's my friend's mother. I don't have parents and she doesn't have her son now.

Karthik, my classmate and the only friend I had throughout my life. He liked you very much. Of course, he was in love with you. I knew it and he too had told me a few times. In between, I was not in contact with him. Several things happened around. He drank some water and continued.

Somehow, he came to know that you are not interested in him, he couldn't express how he felt at that time to anyone. His mother was his pillar in life. Due to her ill health, she urged him to marry. He accepted. Brindha became his wife. Life went on very smoothly and the little angel brought more happiness into their life. All of a sudden, Brindha and Karthik passed away in a road accident.

Do you remember the little girl you met on that day? She was their kid. And her name is Laila Yasmin. Tears rolled out of her eyes non-stop. She felt like going unconscious.

Arjun gave her time to get back normal. After a while, she asked him, "What favour do you expect from me now?" Arjun started slowly, Karthik's mom is very much worried and is regretting it. She started blaming herself too. I know from the very early days how he speaks, admire you every time. He couldn't live his life with you. At least share your time with his daughter. He would feel happier.

Only a few days, before I came to know you have loved me. But try to understand. I never thought you like that. Honestly saying, I am considering you as my friend's love, his partner and I feel not saying anything more than this.

From your grandmother, I came to know you are not interested in marriage. See you will definitely need a partner to share your stuff with them, to feel secure. Not only a husband can give you this but a child can also give. I am concerned about your future. Only because of that I am here speaking before you. Now it's your turn. After going through a lot of emotions in a short period of time. She questioned Arjun, ''Will I be a good mom?'' I'm damn sure about it. You will be. You are a doctor giving and saving the lives of many. Moreover, you care for everyone as if they are your own. I could also understand the pain of growing without a mom. I hope you will not give such a situation to the kid.

Sorry if I have bothered you... Nothing like that Laila oh can I call you like that? How did you come to know that name? Karthik told me. She doesn't know how to react. The truth is she never knew who Karthik is, never seen him, never heard him. But being loved by someone is always special right? In this moment of life, she understood Love is magical. We can't predict who comes closer who lives forever.

Everything was fine thereafter. Yasmin got a mother, Laila got a reason to live. Karthik's mom and dad became parents to Laila. Along with granny, everyone lived together.

In Mumbai, there happened the registered marriage between Arjun and Vinu followed by a party in an old age home.
