The Friend She Always Wanted
The Friend She Always Wanted
Grace's heart felt like a heavy burden, tears staining her pillow with every drop of pain. She longed to scream out her worries, but all she could do was cry silently and seek solace in her blanket. As the seconds passed, her eyes closed, only to open again at the sound of her mother's voice calling her name, "Grace... get up darling, you are running late for school."
With red and puffy eyes, Grace reluctantly got out of bed and completed her morning routine. Despite the lingering pain from the day before, she walked to school with a faint spark of excitement, hoping to see someone special. Grace made a conscious effort to leave the past behind and embrace each new day with a fresh smile. Deep down, though, her heart struggled to accept the truth - that she would never have him back.
Grace believed that love didn't require the presence of the loved one. She reached her school a suprise was waiting for her, when she entered her class and sat down, she realised something!!!!!. He was right behind her .... she was nervous, her pupil dialated. His looks never failed to give butterflies in her heart. She had ignored him completely the day before, and she thought he would do the same today but he came and sat behind her. she had goose bumps all over herself. but in her heart enjoyed every second of it. Her friend said" if he hated her he would ignore her just like she did", but he didn't do that. Why didn't he do that? I thought he hated me.. He knows that I sit there but still why did he sit behind me? Grace asked herself. School ended , she was sad to leave but had no choice. Every one were leaving, he came and stood next to her, she never noticed untill some one called her and when she turned she spot him!! .He turned away as soon as he sensed that she saw him. She was over the moon, it was something that brought her unexplainable happiness.
She often imagined herself and Jazz as the prince and princess of their own little castle, lost in their world of love. Yet, alongside her hopeful joy, there lingered a nagging fear - the fear of losing him forever.
She prayed fervently for her suffering to end. Once, he couldn't bear to be apart from her for even a moment. Now, he punished her by refusing to speak to her. Everything seemed to be falling apart, except for her punishment.
He used to make her feel like the only girl in the world, but Grace's guilt kept her from finding peace. She couldn't understand what mistake she had made to deserve this treatment. She wished she could turn back time and correct her errors, but reality offered no such respite.
Grace harbored countless wishes and dreams about him, but they all came crashing down. She sometimes distanced herself from him, fearing she was hindering his studies. However, deep down, she yearned for him and him alone. Though she knew things would never be the same, she still held onto hope, waiting for the day he would realize her worth once again.
